Maternal Mental Health NOW’s Virtual Multi-Disciplinary Consultation Group offers a supportive, collaborative, and peer-driven space for professionals working with individuals and couples in the perinatal period.
We welcome attendance by all mental health professionals, healthcare providers, birthworkers, home visitors, and others supporting perinatal clients who have completed any training on perinatal mental health care. Each session offers opportunities for case discussions, professional development, and the chance to receive valuable peer support.

Each session will be facilitated by Dr. Zari Hedayat (she/her), Maternal Mental Health NOW’s Director of Training. Dr. Hedayat is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. In practice since 1986, she specializes in trauma and perinatal mental health, supporting pregnant and postpartum women and their families. She has provided pro bono therapy for Veterans and served as a translator on pediatric surgical missions to Haiti with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. A certified Infant Mental Health Specialist through Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Hedayat also teaches at Antioch University Los Angeles, where she formerly directed the Trauma Specialization. Her teaching reflects a deep interest in the intersection of culture and motherhood, which continues to guide her trauma-informed, culturally affirming approach to training and clinical practice.
Attendance at each consultation group is free, but space is limited. Pre-registration is required and granted on a first come, first served basis.
