Policy advocates, Erin Erenberg, Esq. and Raena Boston, will review the current landscape of paid family leave-related policies, share recent efforts to pass federal paid leave legislation, and identify considerations for how to collectively change the minds of law and policy-makers utilizing data and first hand accounts of the relationship between paid family leave policies and perinatal mental health disorders. During this webinar, they will share stories from their advocacy experiences and invite attendees to explore with them how to navigate policy change. Providers and care professionals play an integral role in creating change and this presentation will aim to equip attendees to use their work and experiences to advocate for progress toward access to collective paid leave.

Erin Spahn Erenberg is a mom of three, attorney, serial business builder, fund advisor, and the founder and CEO of Totum, an advocacy platform for modern mothers at the intersection of ambition and motherhood. She is also a co-founder and the executive director of the nonprofit the Chamber of Mothers. Erin maintains a part-time legal practice at Belzer, PC, where she serves mothers’ business and intellectual property needs. Before launching Totum, Erin practiced as an IP attorney for Moore & VanAllen and SESAC, served as the executive director of ACM Lifting Lives, ran business development and affairs for social impact-driven tech firms Indiegogo and Omaze, and worked as an agent for William Morris Endeavor.
Erin has been hired as a speaker and subject matter expert on topics like work-life balance, mindset, overcoming burnout, and achieving equity at home and at work, by companies like ErgoBaby, Ritual Vitamin, Hatch, Norwegian Cruise Line and Montage Hotels. Her work has been featured in Goop, LA Times, and Parents, and she has spoken as an expert on over 15 podcasts including Working Wife, Happy Life, Mom Talks and the After 30 Podcast. After spending a decade in Los Angeles, Erin now lives in South Carolina with her three kids, husband and dog.

Raena Boston is a mom of three, HR professional, writer, and fierce advocate for working families. She is also a co-founder and SVP of culture and community at the nonprofit Chamber of Mothers.
By day, Raena is an HR professional with a focus on alignment between an organization’s greatest asset, its people, and business strategy. She believes that alignment is met when employees are valued as human beings first and workers second and she approaches her work with a human first mindset.
Outside of her 9-5, Raena is the founder of the Working Momtras. The Working Momtras is an online community focused on inviting mothers to unsubscribe from mom guilt and instead lean into their inherent worth. Through her work with the Working Momtras, Raena has been on Good Morning America, PBS Newshour, and been a guest on multiple podcasts. She has also been invited to speak on panels and serve as an expert on HR policy and paid leave. Raena lives with her husband and family in Florida.
