ABOUT THE GALA
On Friday, May 19, 2023, Maternal Mental Health NOW is looking forward to convening for our annual Speak Up When You’re Down Gala at the Westdrift Hotel in Manhattan Beach, CA. The goal of our Speak Up When You’re Down Gala is to honor and celebrate individuals who have survived perinatal depression, anxiety, grief, loss and other hardship, and the friends, family, providers and community leaders who have supported and advocated for them. This year’s theme, Cultivating Community Voices, celebrates the varied and powerful voices that are advancing Black birth equity, justice, and living at the county and state level. The event features a cocktail reception, seated dinner, silent auction and entertainment.
During the evening, recipients will be honored with the Perinatal Mental Health Champion award for their passion and commitment to improve the pregnancy, birthing and postpartum experiences of birthing people and families.
