Anna Pow (she/her)

2025 Queer & Trans Perinatal Mental Health Webinar Series Speaker Anna PowAnna Pow, ACSW, is a therapist living and working in Los Angeles. She has spent the last two years working at the Los Angeles LGBT Center supporting marginalized queer clients in community mental health. As a graduate student she focused her research on the impact of a lack of gender affirming peripartum care on the postpartum mental health of trans and nonbinary gestational parents. Anna previously worked as both a birth and postpartum doula, developing an early passion for the field of birthwork. Through this work Anna realized her pull towards therapeutic work, with a collaborative and strengths-based lens. Anna looks forward to continuing her work in the LGBT+ community, specifically around peripartum mental health.

He is proudly a first-generation college student, graduating from the University of California, Santa Cruz with highest honors in Feminist Studies and the History of Art & Visual Culture. During his time in college, he published and presented his own research and educational website on transmasculine reproduction which has become a staple in transgender health care across the UC system, and is now permanently preserved by the GLBT Historical Society. He has worked with a plethora of organizations and activists both in college and after graduation, and is currently applying to UC Berkeley Law where he hopes to study under their Public Interest & Social Justice program.
